Covid-19 grants linked to business rate properties in Wales

Welsh Government is making funds available for non-repayable grants for small businesses; these will be distributed by the Council for qualifying businesses situated within the Caerphilly County Borough that are registered to pay business rates on their premises on or before the 20th March 2020.

Welsh Government support for businesses

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Welsh and UK Governments have announced a range of measures to support businesses and workers across Wales,

The Business Wales website includes information on business rate relief, support for employees, grants and loans for businesses to help during the disruption caused by COVID-19.

You can also find out more about the £500 million Economic Resilience Fund which will support businesses forced to temporarily cease trading – to go into “hibernation” – or which need cash-flow support to adapt to a remote way of working.

Support for the self-employed (UK Government)

The new Self-Employed Income Support Scheme means those eligible will receive a cash grant worth 80% of their average monthly trading profit over the last three years.

This covers 95% of people who receive the majority of their income from self-employment.

Use this if you're self-employed or a member of a partnership and have lost income due to coronavirus.
